Tech Desk: Donald Trump has launched the ‘Trump Super Intelligence Force,’ a new government task force aimed at rebranding Artificial Intelligence (AI) as “Super Intelligence” and spearheading US global leadership in this transformative technology. Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton will head the group, an initiative announced shortly after a White House summit with leading AI executives.

The core mission of the ‘Trump Super Intelligence Force’ is to coordinate federal government efforts, ensuring America not only maintains but significantly extends its global preeminence in Super Intelligence. Trump emphasized the profound impact of this technology, asserting it is “bigger than the Industrial Revolution, and the Internet,” with a clear goal to protect American interests and enhance the lives of all citizens.

This strategic move follows discussions where tech companies reportedly agreed to a voluntary framework for overseeing AI development. The task force is composed of key figures, including Federal Trade Commission Chairman Andrew Ferguson, Pentagon Under Secretary for War for Research and Engineering, Chief Technology Officer Emil Michael, and Office of Personnel Management Director Scott Kupor, reporting directly to Trump and his chief of staff, Susie Wiles.

Beyond internal coordination, the ‘Trump Super Intelligence Force’ is mandated to engage broadly with various stakeholders.
