Maserati GT2 Stradale India

Tech Desk: Maserati has officially launched the highly anticipated GT2 Stradale in India, priced at an exclusive Rs 5.72 crore (ex-showroom). This track-focused yet road-legal supercar, directly inspired by the brand’s GT2 race car, promises an unparalleled driving experience for Indian enthusiasts. Based on the acclaimed MC20, the Maserati GT2 Stradale boasts significant upgrades in power, aerodynamics, and chassis, while shedding 60kg of weight. Production is strictly limited to just 914 units worldwide, a nod to Maserati’s founding year, 1914, making this Maserati GT2 Stradale India debut truly special.

Under its sculpted bonnet lies a potent 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 Nettuno petrol engine, now tuned to deliver an exhilarating 640hp and 720Nm of torque – a 10hp increase over the MC20. Paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, the GT2 Stradale rockets from 0-100kph in just 2.8 seconds, achieving a top speed of 324kph. Its dry weight of 1,365kg, 60kg lighter than the MC20, contributes to its blistering performance. Drivers can choose from Wet, GT, Sport, and Corsa modes, with optional Performance Packs adding semi-slick tyres, carbon-ceramic brakes, and an electronic limited-slip differential for ultimate track prowess.

The Maserati GT2 Stradale features an aggressive aerodynamic package, including a redesigned front bumper, diffuser, and a large, adjustable rear wing capable of generating 500kg of downforce at 280kph. Revised suspension, steering, and braking hardware, alongside 20-inch single-nut forged wheels, ensure race-bred handling. The cabin retains the MC20’s butterfly doors but introduces a redesigned central tunnel, Alcantara upholstery, and carbon-fibre racing seats, emphasizing its performance pedigree. This limited-edition supercar redefines extreme performance on Indian roads.
