Infinix Hot 70 Launches with a Back That Changes Color With Temperature

Infinix Hot 70 temperature-sensitive back

Tech Desk: Infinix has just unveiled its latest budget smartphone, the Hot 70, and its standout feature isn’t its specs, but its dynamic back panel. Dubbed ‘Thermo Orange,’ this unique finish shifts its hue based on ambient temperature, transforming from a deep ‘Quiet Orange’ in cooler conditions to a vibrant ‘Playful Orange’ when warmed up.

Beyond this innovative color-changing design, the Hot 70 offers a sleek profile at 7.49mm, though its 195g weight hints at the substantial battery within. While the Thermo Orange is the headline, traditional color options like Green Texture, Quiet Violet, Dive Blue, Silver Dancer, and Night Pulse black are also available.

Under the hood, the Hot 70 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It boasts a large 6000mAh battery with 45W wired charging and even 10W reverse charging capabilities, allowing it to act as a power bank.

The device features a 6.78-inch IPS LCD display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, delivering fluid visuals. Photography is handled by a 50MP main camera and an 8MP selfie shooter. Running on Android 16 with Infinix’s XOS 16 overlay, the Hot 70 also includes a customizable hardware button for quick access to apps or functions.
