A significant highlight is its LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery chemistry, a departure from the NMC units seen in other Honda EVs like the QC1. This promises enhanced durability and a claimed maximum range of 122km per charge.

Beyond its advanced battery, the Honda UC3 electric scooter boasts robust performance. It delivers a peak output of 6kW and can achieve a top speed of 120kph. Charging is efficient, with an 80% charge achieved in just 2 hours using a faster 1200W charger, or 5 hours with a standard 450W unit. The scooter rides on 12-inch wheels at both ends, offering stability.

Designed for comfort and utility, the UC3 features svelte bodywork, a spacious seat, and a generous 26-litre underseat storage. Riders can choose from three modes—Standard, Sport, and Econ—along with a reverse mode, all configurable via a 5-inch TFT dash. Weighing 129kg with a seat height of 779mm, it offers an accessible ride. It comes in black and white, with the black variant sporting distinctive rose gold accents.

While the patent filing indicates Honda’s interest, it doesn’t guarantee an imminent launch in India. Such filings are often strategic IPR safeguards. Nonetheless, the prospect of the Honda UC3 electric scooter entering the Indian market presents an exciting new option for discerning electric vehicle enthusiasts.
