Vivo X Fold 6 India Launch Tipped for October 6th with Massive 7,000mAh Battery

Vivo X Fold 6 India launch

Tech Desk: Exciting news for foldable phone enthusiasts: the Vivo X Fold 6 is reportedly set to debut in India on October 6th, just five days after its rumored global launch. This highly anticipated device, already released in China in June, promises to bring significant upgrades, including a groundbreaking 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery and a powerful 200MP main camera, directly challenging competitors like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra.

Tipster Abhishek Yadav suggests an unusual launch schedule, as Vivo has other devices slated for the same date. The India-bound X Fold 6 is expected in two configurations: 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB, available in stylish Prism Black and Nebula Teal. This marks a departure from its predecessor, the X Fold 5, which offered a single variant. While Chinese pricing starts around Rs 1.1 lakh, Indian pricing remains under wraps, sparking curiosity about its competitive positioning.

Beyond the impressive battery, the X Fold 6 features an 8.02-inch 120Hz inner AMOLED display and a 6.51-inch 120Hz AMOLED cover screen, both boasting up to 5,000 nits peak brightness. Powering the foldable is the 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super chipset, coupled with up to 16GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM. Its robust hinge is rated for 600,000 folds, backed by IP58 and IP59 ratings for enhanced durability. For photography, a Zeiss-tuned 200MP OIS primary camera leads a versatile triple-lens setup. Buyers should await official confirmation to assess its full market impact.
