2027 Ducati Desmo450 MX Unveiled: Enhanced Performance, Lower Price, and New Factory Perks

2027 Ducati Desmo450 MX

Tech Desk: Ducati has just pulled back the curtain on its 2027 Desmo450 MX, an off-roader packed with performance upgrades and, surprisingly, a significantly lower price tag. Following its supermoto counterpart, the Desmo450 SM, this new MX model arrives with both standard and a more feature-rich Factory version, with prices slashed by up to GBP 2,400. This makes the highly anticipated dirt bike more accessible while offering a host of enhancements.

The standard 2027 Desmo450 MX sees subtle yet impactful changes aimed at improving functionality and rider ergonomics. A larger 51-tooth rear sprocket boosts torque for better corner exits, while redesigned gear and brake lever tips enhance foot movement. Numerous internal components have also been upgraded for superior reliability. Visually, the easiest way to spot the 2027 model is its fresh livery featuring sleek black logos, departing from the previous white.

For enthusiasts seeking the ultimate edge, the Desmo450 MX Factory model sheds 800g of weight, bringing its dry weight even lower than the standard 104.8kg. It inherits all standard improvements and adds exclusive features like dark Kashima-coated 49mm forks, a titanium oxide-treated monoshock for wear resistance, and a full Akrapovic exhaust system that alone shaves 1.7kg. A billet-machined triple clamp, sump guard, disc rotor guard, and an RK MXU O-ring chain further equip this top-tier variant. A new standard holeshot device aids aggressive starts by managing acceleration and stability.

The Factory version also integrates a WiFi module, similar to the Desmo450 SM, allowing riders to customize its two ride modes and access predictive maintenance via the X-Link mobile app. Sporting a new Ducati Corse livery with red and black logos, this model is positioned as the pinnacle of performance. Prices now start at GBP 9,495 for the standard MX and GBP 10,795 for the MX Factory in Europe, making these advanced off-roaders more enticing than ever.
