Hyundai Bayon SUV Unveiled: India’s First with Generative AI Voice, Dual 12.3-inch Displays

Hyundai Bayon

Tech Desk: The much-anticipated Hyundai Bayon midsize SUV has been fully revealed, making waves with its segment-first Generative AI voice assistance and a luxurious dual 12.3-inch display setup. Positioned strategically between the Venue and Creta, the Hyundai Bayon is set to challenge rivals like the Maruti Victoris, offering a compelling blend of advanced technology and practical design. Bookings are already underway ahead of its October 26 price announcement.

Sporting Hyundai’s latest ‘Art of Steel’ design language, the Bayon presents a distinctive crossover-ish look, reminiscent of a scaled-down Tucson. Its interior, inspired by the Brazil-spec i20, boasts not only the impressive dual screens for instrumentation and infotainment but also retains a welcome array of physical buttons and dials for intuitive control. This thoughtful blend ensures both modern aesthetics and user-friendliness.

Beyond the striking displays, the Bayon introduces Generative AI voice assistance, a first for any Hyundai in India, allowing natural conversational commands. This, coupled with Bluelink connected tech, OTA updates, and multi-language support, elevates the in-car experience significantly. The comprehensive feature list underscores Hyundai’s commitment to cutting-edge convenience and connectivity.

Under the hood, the Hyundai Bayon will launch with the proven 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, delivering 115hp/144Nm, paired with 6-speed manual and CVT gearbox options. An economical CNG variant is also expected later, further broadening its appeal. Expected to be priced between Rs 9 lakh and 14 lakh (ex-showroom), the Hyundai Bayon aims to solidify Hyundai’s dominance in the competitive midsize SUV segment.
