Rolls-Royce Spectre Series II Set to Electrify India This Year with Enhanced Power, Range

Rolls-Royce Spectre Series II

Tech Desk: India’s ultra-luxury EV market is about to witness a significant upgrade as Rolls-Royce confirms the arrival of its Rolls-Royce Spectre Series II this year. Julian Jenkins, global director – Sales and Brand, revealed to Autocar India that this “evolution of the motor car” will soon grace Indian roads, bringing with it substantial enhancements over its predecessor, which debuted just over two years ago. This move solidifies Rolls-Royce’s commitment to the burgeoning electric luxury segment in the country.

The Rolls-Royce Spectre Series II boasts impressive mechanical upgrades, central to which is a larger 112kWh battery pack. This robust power source contributes to an exceptional WLTP-certified range of up to 629km, addressing a key concern for luxury EV buyers. Under the hood, this advanced electric coupe delivers a formidable 601hp and 1,015Nm of torque in its standard form. For those seeking even greater exhilaration, Black Badge versions push the output to a staggering 680hp and 1,110Nm in Spirited mode, promising an unparalleled driving experience.

While the exterior remains largely unchanged from its visually stunning first iteration, the Series II emphasizes deeper personalization – a hallmark of Rolls-Royce. The brand noted the original Spectre as its second-most personalized car, prompting expanded interior and exterior customization options, including unique matte black detailing for Black Badge models. This allows owners to truly make their Rolls-Royce Spectre Series II one-of-a-kind.

As expected for an evolution of such a prestigious vehicle, the Rolls-Royce Spectre Series II is anticipated to command a higher price point than the current model, which retails at Rs 7.5 crore for the standard and Rs 9.5 crore for the Black Badge versions. This premium positioning will further cement its status as India’s most exclusive and expensive EV, setting a new benchmark for electric luxury in the subcontinent.
