During its Republic Day military parade in Yerevan on May 28, 2026, critical platforms like the Akash surface-to-air missile system were introduced as “Lusan” (Lynx), while the potent Pinaka multi-barrel rocket launchers became “Shant” (Lightning). This pivotal move signifies Armenia’s full integration of Indian technology into its national security architecture, responding decisively to persistent regional threats.

Beyond Akash and Pinaka, other Indian-made equipment received Armenian identities.
