Among them, the quick-reaction surface-to-air missile systems will significantly enhance the Army’s ability to protect India’s borders with rapid and precise defence capabilities.

Defence analysts note that India—once heavily dependent on arms imports—is steadily transforming into an emerging arms exporter. Through the ‘Make in India’ initiative, domestic manufacturers are being actively encouraged to design and produce military hardware.
