A major leap in lethality comes from integrating the battle-proven 2A42 30mm autocannon, capable of engaging everything from enemy infantry to light armoured vehicles and even drones. This primary weapon is complemented by a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun and a hull-operated 12.7mm Remote Weapon Station, ensuring comprehensive suppressive fire. Critically, the WhAP 8×8 now features a twin-launcher for the indigenous “fire-and-forget” Man-Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile (MPATGM), offering devastating top-attack capability against Main Battle Tanks.

The vehicle’s intelligence is equally impressive, centered around the Safran PASEO sighting system. This grants true “hunter-killer” functionality, allowing the commander to independently scan for new threats while the gunner engages another target, drastically reducing reaction times. Survivability is enhanced with a Saab laser warning suite that detects incoming laser illumination, automatically triggering defensive countermeasures.

Despite its heavier combat suite, the WhAP retains robust amphibious mobility via quiet pump-jet propulsion. Inside, the crew benefits from modernized day/night electronic vision systems and strategic firing ports for the infantry squad, ensuring both operational effectiveness and soldier safety.
