This pivotal bilateral exercise saw Indian and American snipers hone their long-range shooting and battlefield coordination, focusing on extreme altitude operations. A key highlight was the deployment of advanced weaponry, including the Indian Army’s Sako TRG sniper rifles and cutting-edge 3D-printed drones, alongside a robust exchange of tactical expertise vital for modern mountain warfare.

The drills showcased the Finnish-made Sako TRG rifle, chambered for the powerful .338 Lapua Magnum, proving its superior range and lethality in mountain environments. US Army Sergeant 1st Class Dylan Tinkey, already familiar with Indian sniper tactics from a prior exchange at Mhow, praised the Sako TRG, drawing parallels with the US MK22. The exercise emphasized seamless interoperability, with combined shooter-spotter teams successfully engaging targets up to 580 meters, demonstrating highly compatible protocols and a shared tactical language across both armies.

Beyond marksmanship, the training integrated sophisticated drone technology. The Indian Army’s specialized Ashni drone platoon showcased indigenous 3D-printed drone platforms, highlighting India’s growing self-reliance in tactical battlefield tech. US scouts, conversely, focused on deploying smaller intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) drones, alongside kamikaze-style systems.
