Tech Desk: Amazon has significantly expanded its smart home ecosystem, launching five new Alexa devices featuring cutting-edge AI upgrades. These innovations promise to transform everyday routines, making household tasks simpler and more intuitive. The lineup includes enhanced Echo speakers, a smart alarm clock, a digital photo frame, and a large smart display, all designed to integrate AI seamlessly into your home.

The key advancement lies in Alexa’s ability to handle complex requests, ask follow-up questions, and interpret visual information. This moves beyond basic voice commands, offering a more natural and intelligent interaction. For instance, the new Echo Studio with Home Camera can explain board game rules or recognise items for reordering, while the Echo Time provides sleep-sensing technology for optimised wake-up routines.

Hardware upgrades also accompany these AI advancements. The new Echo Dot, for example, boasts a built-in smart home hub and an eero Wi-Fi extender, alongside its AZ3 chip for on-device AI processing. While Indian pricing and availability are yet to be confirmed, these Alexa devices are set to redefine smart living globally, offering unparalleled convenience and intelligence in every corner of the home.
