Tech Desk: Fire-Boltt, a prominent name in wearables, has officially made its ambitious entry into India’s competitive smartphone market through its new sub-brand, Boltt. The much-anticipated Boltt Ace 5G and Boltt Evo were simultaneously unveiled, aiming to deliver feature-rich experiences at aggressive price points. These inaugural handsets are designed to capture consumer attention with their substantial 6.79-inch HD+ LCD displays, boasting up to a 120Hz refresh rate, and robust 6,000mAh batteries.

Both new smartphones are scheduled to go on sale from September 1 exclusively via Flipkart, sweetened by an attractive Rs. 1,000 Day 1 discount across all variants. Pricing for the Boltt Ace 5G starts at Rs. 13,999 for its 4GB + 64GB base model, while the Boltt Evo offers an even more budget-friendly entry point at Rs. 10,999. Consumers will find a wide array of vibrant colour options, including Arctic White, Midnight Black, and Lavender Bloom.

Performance-wise, the Boltt Ace 5G is driven by the powerful octa-core Unisoc T8200 chipset, achieving an impressive AnTuTu benchmark score exceeding 5,47,000. It supports up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. The Boltt Evo, on the other hand, is equipped with an octa-core Unisoc T7250 SoC and up to 6GB RAM. Both phones allow storage expansion up to 1TB via a microSD card, ensuring ample space for apps and media.

For optics, the Ace 5G features a capable 64-megapixel dual rear camera system, while the Evo sports a 50-megapixel primary sensor alongside a 2-megapixel macro lens. Both models come with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. Crucially, only the Boltt Ace 5G supports 18W wired fast charging and future-ready 5G connectivity, positioning it as the more premium option, while both promise a complete smartphone experience for the Indian consumer.
