Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra Leak: Minimal Design Changes, Heavier Build Tipped

Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra

Tech Desk: Anticipation for the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra is building, but fresh leaks suggest fans might be surprised by its familiar look. Renowned tipster Ice Universe indicates the upcoming flagship’s front design will be almost identical to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, with screen protectors potentially interchangeable. This marks the smallest design difference between two Ultra flagships yet.

While the 6.9-inch display with 1,440 × 3,120-pixel resolution and bezel shape are expected to remain unchanged, internal upgrades are on the horizon. The Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra is rumored to feature an M16 OLED display, promising enhanced brightness, colour accuracy, and power efficiency. The front camera could also see an upgrade from 12 MP to a 16 MP sensor.

Beyond the display, the Galaxy S27 Ultra is tipped to be slightly thicker at 7.9mm and heavier, around 215-218 grams, compared to the S26 Ultra’s 214 grams. This increased weight is likely due to a substantial battery upgrade, from 5,000mAh in the S26 Ultra to a rumored 5,700mAh. As always, these details remain speculative until Samsung’s official announcement in early 2027.
