This Tech Firm is Gifting ₹1.5 Crore Flats to Employees Just for Sticking Around

chinese company gifts flats

We have all been there—hoping for a decent appraisal, maybe a shiny new laptop, or if we are lucky, a good bonus during the festive season. But imagine walking into your office and having your boss hand you the keys to a fully renovated apartment. Sounds like a corporate fairytale, doesn’t it? Well, for employees at a tech company in China, this is their new reality.

A job posting from Zhejiang Guosheng Automotive Technology Co. Ltd. has gone viral, and it is making the rest of the corporate world look a little… stingy. The deal is simple but stunning: Work for them for 5 years, and earn yourself a flat!

The Offer That Broke the Internet

Located in Wenzhou, Southeast China, this company isn’t just offering empty promises. They are an automotive fastener manufacturer with a solid workforce of over 450 people and a massive annual production value of nearly 490 Million Yuan (approx. $70 Million).

To tackle the age-old problem of employee attrition, they decided to think big—really big. The General Manager, Wang Jiayuan, realized that many of his staff were migrant workers. To retain his top technical and management talent, he launched this housing incentive scheme.

“We have already handed out 5 flats this year,” Wang confirmed. “Next year, we plan to give away 8 more, with a target of 18 flats over three years.”

A Home Close to Work (Literally)

This isn’t just about throwing money at the problem; it is about quality of life. The apartments are located within a 5 km radius of the office, cutting down commute times significantly.

Here is what the lucky employees are getting:

  • Size: Spacious units ranging from 100 to 150 square meters.
  • Condition: Fully renovated and ready to move in.
  • Value: With prices hovering between 7,000 to 8,500 Yuan per square meter, these homes are worth a staggering ₹1.3 Crore to ₹1.5 Crore in Indian currency!

One power couple, both employed at the firm, has already received the keys to a sprawling 144-square-meter apartment.

What’s the Catch?

There is always fine print, but this one seems fair. Employees sign a housing agreement and can move in immediately. However, the official transfer of ownership happens only after they complete their 5-year tenure.

Wang Jiayuan’s logic is refreshingly practical. He asks, “If our employees work hard and help the company save 1 Million Yuan a year through their efficiency, why is gifting them a flat impossible?”

The Verdict

The initiative aims to slash operational costs while boosting quality management and retention. Since the news broke via a recruitment post, it has sparked a massive debate online. While most companies offer pizza parties or “Employee of the Month” mugs, Zhejiang Guosheng has set a new, incredibly high bar for employee appreciation.

So, the next time you get a box of dry fruits as a bonus, just remember—somewhere in Wenzhou, someone is getting a house!
