Insta New features

If you’re an Instagram user, you’re in for a treat! The popular social media platform has rolled out a set of exciting new features designed to take your Instagram experience to the next level. These updates are all about mahttps://english.techneandlogos.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/101.jpg it easier and more enjoyable to stay connected with your friends and favorite creators.

Let’s dive into what’s new:

 1. Repost Reels and Posts Directly to Your Profile

Until now, if you liked a Reel or post on Instagram, your only option was to share it to your Story – and it would disappear after 24 hours. But not anymore!

Now you can repost any public Reel or post directly to your profile, giving it a permanent place in your content feed.

  • How it works:
Next to the usual Share icon below a post or Reel, you’ll now see a new Repost icon. Tap it, and the content will appear in a dedicated “Reposts” tab on your profile. Your followers will see it in their feed just like any other post.
  • What’s new:
You can add a small note when reposting, which appears as a thought bubble overlay on the content – adding your personal touch.
  • Why it’s great:
It gives full credit to the original creator and helps their content reach more people without compromising authenticity.

 2. Instagram’s New Interactive Style Map (Like Snap Map)

Remember Snapchat’s Snap Map? Instagram has now launched its own version – a brand new interactive Style Map that lets you see where your friends and favorite creators are posting from.

  • How it works:
The map appears at the very top of your DM inbox. You can choose to share your last active location, which will then show up on the map.
  • Privacy controls:
This feature is turned off by default. You control who can see your location: everyone, only Close Friends, selected friends, or no one at all.
  • Extra benefit:
You can also block sharing from specific places. Currently, this feature is available in the U.S. only and will roll out globally soon.

 3. Friends Tab in Reels – See What Your Friends Are Loving

Ever wondered what Reels your friends are into? Instagram now makes it easier with the new Friends tab inside the Reels section.

  • How it works:
The Friends tab displays Reels that your friends have liked, commented on, or reposted – all in one place, giving you a sneak peek into their taste.
  • Bonus feature – “Blends”:
Instagram will suggest Reels based on shared interests between you and your friends using a feature called Blends. It curates content you’re both likely to enjoy.
  • Privacy at your fingertips:
You can choose to hide your activity from others or mute specific friends if you prefer not to see their updates.
