Lenovo ThinkTab X11: Rugged Tablet with Removable Battery Hits US Market

Lenovo ThinkTab X11

Tech Desk: Forget sealed batteries – Lenovo is bringing back user-serviceable power with its new ThinkTab X11. This rugged Android tablet, first seen at MWC 2026, is now available in the US, targeting those who need durability and flexibility in a mid-range device.

What truly sets the ThinkTab X11 apart is its user-replaceable 10,200mAh battery. Unlike most modern tablets, you can swap it out without tools, a significant win for longevity and repairability. Lenovo even offers a battery-less mode for specialized tasks.

Beyond its unique battery, the ThinkTab X11 boasts a 10.95-inch WQXGA display, a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip, and up to 8GB RAM. It runs Android 16 and promises at least four years of security updates. For added resilience, it’s IP68 rated and can be equipped with an optional rugged case for MIL-STD-810H certification.

Connectivity includes dual USB-C ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a microSD slot – features increasingly rare on tablets. Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and optional 5G ensure you stay connected. The tablet is available in Eclipse Black, with Wi-Fi models starting at $499 and 5G variants at $579.
