Club App: A New Frontier for Content Creators to Earn Directly from Loyal Fans

Club app content creators earn money

Tech Desk: A new platform is set to revolutionize how content creators monetize their work, especially those with smaller, dedicated fan bases. The Club app, recently launched by live streaming platform Kick, promises an alternative to the traditional ad-revenue models of YouTube and Instagram, where massive follower counts and views are often prerequisites for substantial income.

Club’s model focuses on direct fan engagement. Creators can offer monthly memberships, exclusive paid content, direct tips, and even personalized interactions for a fee. This shifts the emphasis from viral reach to cultivating strong, loyal communities willing to financially support their favorite creators. Club’s CEO, Henrik Pohlmann, describes it as a more “human” social media experience.

Unlike YouTube, which typically requires thousands of subscribers and extensive watch hours for ad monetization, Club allows creators to start earning with just a handful of committed fans. Imagine a creator with 5,000 loyal followers; if 500 subscribe to exclusive content, the direct revenue potential is significant, regardless of millions of views. While YouTube offers 70% of fan-funding, Club takes 20% of creator earnings, an attractive proposition for many.

The Club app launched officially on August 19, 2026, and early testing saw over 100,000 members join in under two months, with 90% of creators remaining active. This indicates strong initial uptake and a viable path for gamers and other creators struggling to monetize on larger platforms. The key question remains whether fans will consistently pay for content on a new platform.
