Aston Martin DBX GT Unveiled: The Ultimate Luxury SUV Experience Arrives

Aston Martin DBX GT

Tech Desk: Aston Martin is redefining luxury SUVs with the unveiling of the new Aston Martin DBX GT, a variant designed to prioritize unparalleled comfort and opulence. Positioned alongside the sportier DBX S, this new model promises a serene yet powerful driving experience, with global deliveries slated for Q4 2026.

Under the bonnet, the DBX GT retains the potent 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine from the DBX S, delivering an impressive 727hp and 900Nm of torque. This powerful setup, coupled with a 9-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive, ensures an identical 0-100kph time of 3.1 seconds and a top speed of 310kph. However, Aston Martin has meticulously re-tuned the throttle and gearbox for smoother operation, alongside a revised suspension and added dampers between the body and rear subframe, ensuring a remarkably pliant ride even on challenging roads. The exhaust also receives a dedicated tune for a “cleaner, richer tone,” enhancing the luxurious auditory experience.

Visually, the DBX GT exudes sophisticated elegance. It features a body-coloured front bumper and a redesigned grille with horizontal slats, departing from the DBX S’s mesh design and red accents. Over the side, two-piece side strakes are finished in satin silver, complementing new 22-inch alloy wheels as standard, with 23-inch options available. The side sills and rear diffuser are also body-coloured, and a new quad-exhaust setup with horizontally aligned tips completes the rear styling.

Inside, occupants are treated to new leather upholstery with slightly thicker memory-foam cushions, ensuring superior comfort. Premium materials like anodised metal for controls and deep pile carpets elevate the cabin’s opulence. Upgraded sound deadening and window lamination better isolate occupants, while a fixed panoramic glass roof comes standard, enhancing natural light and the sense of airiness. The Aston Martin DBX GT truly sets a new benchmark for luxury SUV travel, sitting parallel to the S in the lineup, just below the extreme 707.
