Tech Desk: Indian businesses are rapidly moving beyond AI experimentation, firmly embedding the technology into core operations and leveraging it as a powerful engine for growth and expansion. A remarkable 93% of respondents confidently believe their organization can secure business data while using AI, a global high. Furthermore, 87% are actively exploring new markets, making India the most expansion-focused country surveyed, according to Autodesk’s AI Pulse Report 2026.

This surge in confidence is backed by significant investment. Over the past year, 91% of Indian organizations increased AI investment, outperforming both APAC (85%) and global (81%) averages. AI adoption is widespread, with 63% using AI assistants and chatbots – the highest in APAC – and no surveyed organization operating without AI tools. This demonstrates a robust commitment to India AI adoption.

The shift is yielding tangible benefits: 88% report improved productivity, 84% stronger innovation, and 75% better decision-making. Investment priorities are evolving, with Generative AI leading at 74%, followed by process automation and decision-support AI. Indian organizations increasingly view AI not as a standalone tech initiative, but as a strategic business capability.

India’s AI momentum is further strengthened by a workforce ready for the future. 70% of Indian respondents feel their organization provides sufficient AI training, significantly ahead of global averages. While challenges like regulatory uncertainty and skills shortages persist, leadership commitment remains strong, with 88% encouraging AI adoption. This proactive approach underscores India’s leading role in the global AI landscape.
