Jawa 1000 Sport Cruiser concept

Tech Desk: The Jawa 1000 Sport Cruiser concept has made a striking debut at the Brno Motorcycle Show, marking a dramatic departure for the iconic Czech brand. Designed by Jan Hrbek, this limited-edition machine reinterprets Jawa’s classic aesthetics with a modern, low-slung cruiser silhouette, blending heritage with high-performance aspirations. Its unveiling has immediately positioned it as a collector’s dream, not just for its design but also its exclusive nature and formidable specifications.

Underneath its distinctive styling, the Sport Cruiser houses a potent 999cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, reportedly developed in the Czech Republic. This powerhouse delivers an impressive 113hp and 95Nm of torque, pushing the motorcycle to a claimed top speed of 215kph. With a kerb weight of 240kg and a seat height of 795mm, it promises a substantial yet engaging ride.

The concept doesn’t skimp on premium components, featuring a full Ohlins suspension setup, top-tier Brembo Stylema calipers for superior braking, and lightweight OZ Racing wheels. A LeoVince exhaust system completes the high-spec package, underscoring its performance credentials. While currently a pre-production prototype, reports suggest a potential collaboration with Chinese manufacturer Jedi, though this remains unconfirmed.

What truly sets the Jawa 1000 Sport Cruiser concept apart is its extreme exclusivity. With only an estimated 10 to 15 units slated for production, this motorcycle is destined for the most discerning collectors. Priced at a rumoured €62,000 (approximately Rs 68.25 lakh), it firmly establishes itself in the ultra-luxury segment, a testament to its bespoke craftsmanship and advanced engineering.
