Apple Music and Apple One Subscriptions See Significant Price Hike in India

Apple Music Apple One price hike India

Tech Desk: India’s Apple users face a fresh blow as the tech giant has significantly increased prices for its Apple Music and Apple One subscription plans. This revision, effective immediately for both new and existing subscribers, impacts all tiers, including individual, family, and student plans, marking the second such hike for Apple Music in less than two years. The move follows recent price adjustments for several of Apple’s hardware products, including certain iPads, Macs, and MacBooks.

Subscribers to Apple Music will now pay more across the board. The Individual plan jumps from Rs. 119 to Rs. 139 per month, while the Student plan sees an increase from Rs. 59 to Rs. 69 monthly. The steepest hike hits the Apple Music Family plan, now priced at Rs. 229 per month, up from Rs. 179, offering access for up to six family members with individual libraries and recommendations.

Similarly, Apple One bundles, which combine services like Apple Music, Apple Arcade, Apple TV+, and iCloud, have also become pricier. The Individual plan rises from Rs. 175 to Rs. 195 per month, and the Family plan increases from Rs. 365 to Rs. 445. The premium Premier tier, offering the most comprehensive package, now costs Rs. 595 monthly, up from Rs. 499.

While these new prices are already live, Apple has yet to issue an official statement regarding the hikes. Notably, similar price increases have been reported in other key markets such as Europe, the UK, and the US, indicating a broader strategy. Indian consumers, however, will undoubtedly feel the pinch of these updated subscription costs.
